(John Newton,

"You are under grace."
(Romans 6:14)

Those who have put their faith in Jesus are delivered from God’s law. They are united to Jesus. Sin has been pardoned, and we stand high in God’s favour.

We should consider ourselves God’s beloved children. Grace, God’s loving kindness, rules in us, provides for us, and will bring us to Glory.

Why should we ever be afraid? Sin is pardoned. God’s justice is satisfied. God is at peace with us; yes, He delights in us. Soon Satan will be crushed under our feet!

As God is for us, who can be against us? All things must work together for our good; nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God; we are on the winning side through Him who loved us.

And why? Because we "are not under the law, but under grace." (Romans 6:14) Because Jesus lives, we shall live also. (John 14:19)

"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
When we’ve been there, ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less day ,to sing God’s praise,
Than when we first begun."
(John Newton, hymn "Amazing Grace")
