The Believer's Daily Remembrancer
October 28

"Son, go work today in My vineyard."
(Matthew 21:28)

Believers enjoy spiritual rebirth by the Holy Spirit, and are adopted by God into His Family. He does not intend us to be idle. He commands us with love and authority, "Son, go work."

We are to work for God’s glory, for the good of others, and to store up for ourselves treasure in heaven. It is a great honour to work for God, and there is work for all. The invitation is to work today - while you have light, strength and opportunity.

Are you standing idle all the day? Go into "His vineyard."

Are you discouraged? Do what you can. As you look to the Lord, He will give ability, opportunity and crown with success.

"More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show;
More of his saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me."
(Eliza E. Hewitt, hymn "More About Jesus")
