(Phillips Brooks,

December 25

"I will display My glory."
(Leviticus 10:3)

God created the world and preserves it that He may be glorified.

On that first Christmas an angel of the Lord stood before the shepherds and "the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.-----Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying ,’Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill toward men.' " (Luke 2:9-14)

"O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us we pray;
Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell-
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Immanuel."
(Phillips Brooks, hymn "O Little Town of Bethlehem")

A very happy Christmas to you! May we glorify the Lord of glory this day- and always!
