"I want you to be free from the concerns of this life."
(1 Corinthians 7:32)

Worry is harmful! It distracts us, hinders God’s Word, leads to distrust and destroys our peace.

We, who have put our trust in the Lord, should prayerfully leave all our concerns in His Care. All we do, we should do as to the Lord, and regard our family, our property, our business as the Lord’s.

Anxiety dishonours God. It harms our own souls. It feeds our impatience and unbelief. It hinders our usefulness and hardens our hearts.

We should pray to be without anxiety for the Almighty God cares for us.

"All your anxiety, all your care,
Take to the mercy seat*, leave it there.
Never a burden He cannot bear.
Never a friend like Jesus." (* Place of prayer)
(Edward H. Joy, hymn "Is there a heart bent o’erbound by sorrow?")
