(Elizabeth C. Clephane,

The Believer's Daily Remembrancer
March 14

"Lord, what are human beings that You should notice them?"
(Psalm 144:3)

By nature, we are God’s enemies and justly condemned by Him. We are in love with our sins and Satan’s servants. We are blind to what is good for us, deaf to God’s call, and spiritually dead. Can such be loved by God; be saved by the sacrificial death of Jesus and be indwelt by the Holy Spirit?

Yes, as such all believers were chosen to salvation; as such Jesus poured out His blood on the cross to redeem them; as such the Holy Spirit came to live in them. Amazing grace!

The invitation goes out to all. All who call on the Name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.

"Upon that Cross of Jesus,
My eye at times can see
The very dying form of One
Who suffered there for me;
And from my smitten heart , with tears,
Two wonders I confess-
The wonder of His glorious love,
And my own worthlessness."
(Elizabeth C. Clephane, hymn "Beneath The Cross of Jesus")
